Built in 1902, the Grant-Humphreys Mansion has a long and storied history of playing host to anniversaries, graduations, retirements, holiday parties, high school reunions, bar and bat mitzvahs, weddings, and other special occasions. Our dedicated events team will collaborate with you to curate the perfect event, providing exquisite indoor and outdoor spaces, as well as all the modern amenities your party needs.

Where Colorado’s First Families Held their Parties

Perched on Quality Hill in the heart of Denver, the Grant-Humphreys Mansion was built in 1902 in a Beaux-Arts style for the family of James Benton Grant, the third Governor of Colorado, and his wife, the prominent socialite Mary Goodell Grant. In 1917, Mary sold the mansion to another influential and connected family, the Humphreys, best remembered for opening Denver’s first airport. 

For more than half a century, the Grant-Humphreys Mansion played host to the elegant soirées of Colorado’s elite and now it’s available for you and your guests. In 1976, it was bequeathed by Ira Boyd Humphreys to the Colorado Historical Society (now History Colorado), so that future generations of Coloradans could continue to enjoy this sumptuous setting for their own special occasions.

Our Flexible Spaces

Our exquisite indoor and outdoor spaces accommodate parties of up to 200 guests, depending on the style meeting or event. Interior spaces include our formal dining room, library, parlor, sunroom, grand ballroom, vintage bowling alley, upstairs suites, and more. Exterior spaces include, flower gardens, a neoclassical terrace and easy access to adjacent Humphreys Park.

Cocktail Reception: 200 guests
Formal Seated: 180 guests
Buffet: 150 guests
