Seeing Red
-
Seeing Red examines the history of redlining in Pueblo. Redlining, a term coined in the 1960s, arose from the Great Depression and was used to assess risk in the home-buying market. The name redlining comes from the use of red ink on maps to highlight hazardous neighborhoods. In this exhibit, visitors can examine a 1930s redlined map of Pueblo accompanied by primary documents that Pueblo real estate professionals used to justify their classifications.
