Kettle-Jens House

Mesa County

Constructed in 1905, this 1½ story wood frame Queen Anne style dwelling includes Shingle style detailing. 

A photo of the house with a wide gable on the right sticking out from a pitched roof, within is an arch with three vertical windows. On the left is a steep hipped gable with two windows below beneath is a porch.

The asymmetrical building includes two porches, several gables, and a tower with a bell cast roof.  Other local residences surviving from the period tend to be simple utilitarian structures devoid of architectural detailing.
