This design is the work of Pueblo architect William Stickney.  The interior of the sanctuary, with its highly artistic decorative carvings, contributes to the property’s significance in the area of Art.  Finally, the property is locally significant in the area of social history from 1924 to 1962 for its service to Pueblo citizens.
