Braden & Griffith Block (Florence Pioneer Museum)

Fremont County

Constructed in 1894, the two-story masonry building reflects the type of commercial block construction occurring during the boom Florence experienced at the turn of the century.

While sandstone was often used for contrasting details or facades, the Braden & Griffith Block is the only extant commercial building in Florence constructed entirely of sandstone.  Since the 1960s, the building has housed the Florence Pioneer Museum.
