The Holy Cross Abbey, Cañon City, is an example of the Collegiate Gothic style.

Described as Collegiate Gothic with a detectable Jacobean Revival influence, its scale and style are unique in south central Colorado.  In 1926, the Benedictine Monks established the Abbey School, which has played an important role in the history of education in the area.
