Giddings Building
El Paso County
At the time of its construction in 1898, this four-story brick building, with rounded arched windows and brick corbelling, was the tallest building in the city.
It housed the largest department store in town and remained pre-eminent well into the 1960s. The Giddings family, prominent members in the community, maintained control of the business until 1950.
