H.H. Thomas House

Denver County

H.H. Thomas, a businessman dealing in real estate and loans, hired the popular architect, William Quayle, to design and build his home during the 1870s.

A view of the house from an angle with red-brick dark sloping roofs, tall windows on the left and larger ones on the bottom right. On top of the house stand four chimneys on all corners.

Its styling includes both High Victorian and Second Empire elements.  The façade of the two-story red brick residence features a large open porch.  Louis C. McClure, a prominent Colorado landscape photographer, occupied the house from 1883 well into the 20th century.
