Spratlen-Anderson Wholesale Grocery Company (Edbrooke Lofts)

Denver County

Designed by Frank E. Edbrooke, the five-story 1905 warehouse received an additional floor in 1911.  The building is constructed of molded and pressed brick and reflects elements of the Neoclassical Revival style in its massing and trim.

Spratlen-Anderson Wholesale Grocery Company (Edbrooke Lofts)

Founded in 1897, Spratlen-Anderson, was a successful Denver wholesale grocery business that expanded into the building upon its completion and remained there until the company was dissolved in 1923.  The subsequent owner, Davis Brothers Drug Company, occupied the building until 1957.
