Constructed in 1902, the two and one half story, red brick, Second Renaissance Revival style building was designed by Denver architects Willis Marean and Albert Norton.  The Denver Children’s Home Association celebrated a century of serving children in 1981.

Denver Orphans’ Home

The association traces its roots to the earliest Denver organization providing care for orphans, the Denver Ladies’ Relief Society founded in 1873.  In cooperation with the city, the building is still in use and continues to reflect changes in philosophies toward the care and treatment of homeless, abused, and neglected children during the 20th century.
