Food can be a tool to connect and to divide. Beloved dishes can vary from household to household and still hold a cultural identity for the community who shares it. Through the lens of food we can learn the stories of underrepresented communities who have helped to shape Colorado, from immigrants working in agricultural fields to those who established important sites of safety and belonging, such as Lincoln Hills, and many more.
History Colorado's Stories Through Food aims to honor, respect, and celebrate the history, culinary heritage, and cultures of these communities through impactful food tours across the state and group dinner experiences. You are invited to the literal and figurative table to get a taste of the flavors and lived experiences of the many communities who call Colorado home.
Stories Through Food hosts events regularly throughout the year. Be sure to check back here for new additions, or sign up for History Colorado's Weekly Digest newsletter and never miss an update!
