The Rock Ridge Farm is located on 650 acres in Douglas County near Franktown. The farm dates to 1886 when is was started by W. I. and Sarah Whittier, the grandparents of the present owners. The farm reached its present size by acquiring homesteads from other owners a few at a time. Although the farm is currently used primarily to raise cattle, over the years major crops have included corn, oats, wheat and barley. The farm is now owned and operated by the Whittier's granddaughter, Violetta and her husband Cecil Fauver.
