The Barbara Gustafson Farm is the first of two Gustafson farms we are honoring here today. Both are located near Eaton in Weld county. The first, which could be called the Brown/Gustafson farm, was purchased in 1892 by Barbara's grandfather, W.W. Brown, from its original owner, Benjamin H. Eaton. W.W. Brown passed the farm on to his daughter, Nellie, who married A.J. Wilson, the owner of the next farm we will be hearing about. A.J. and Nellie eventually passed the farm down to their daughter, Barbara, and her husband E. R. Gustafson. Today, the farm encompasses 100 acres, where corn, beets, beans and alfalfa are raised.
