Stock Car 5627 is a single-deck car originally built in 1904 to transport livestock. In 1926 it was rebuilt.
The car is significant for engineering as a good example of a single deck Class 5 stock car. It represents the period of construction in the nineteenth and early-twentieth centuries when rail car bodies were entirely made of wood bolted together, before steel became prevalent. The car is also significant for transportation during its period of rail service from 1904-1968.
