Stell House

Early settler James W. Stell and his father-in-law, John Brower, an expert with the adz and broad axe, constructed this log house of square-hewn logs held together by carefully hewn square notching.  Despite some alterations and additions, the house remains an impressive example of log construction, reflecting the expertise of a master craftsman.
