Although many artisans contributed to the project, architect Walter DeMordaunt determined the English country style for the gabled roof, one and a half story brick and sandstone residence.

Star Journal Model Home

Completed in early 1927, the highly publicized "model" home blended aspects of "convenient living" with cost considerations and served as a showcase for the residential architectural values of the years prior to the Great Depression.
