Seventh Day Adventist Church – Arvada Jaycee Hall

Jefferson County

The Seventh Day Adventist Church - Arvada Jaycee Hall is significant for its long association as a civic and social meeting hall.  The Seventh Day Adventist Church constructed the building in 1902 as a church and continued using it until 1944 when it sold it to the Arvada Jaycees.  Since 1944, the Arvada Jaycees has continued owning and utilizing the building for its meeting hall.

In addition to its primary mission of providing leadership training to individuals between the ages of 21 and 40, the Arvada Jaycees has been the primary sponsor of the Arvada Harvest Festival since 1937 and was instrumental in the creation of the first Arvada library by forming the Better Arvada Library League (BALL) in 1964.  The organization continues to sponsor and be active in community outreach programs in Arvada.  The Arvada Jaycees building is the last remaining Jaycee Hall in Colorado, still serving the organization today.
