The Salmonson Farm, located in Larimer County near Berthoud, was first purchased in 1895 by Eric August Salmonson from the original homesteader. It was later passed down to his son, Victor Salmonson and his wife Eunice, who still owns half of the farm along with her son, Cary and his wife Donna. They now raise hard, red winter wheat, oats, alfalfa, and feed barley. The Salmonson Farm is also receiving the historic structures award for the preservation of over a half dozen historic buildings.
