Jefferson County
This archaeological site is important for its ability to yield chronological sequence data about the Archaic through the Woodland periods. Materials weathering from the uppermost stratigraphic level attracted attention as early as 1925.
Chronological information gleaned from this eastern Colorado foothills site serves to enable comparisons with the neighboring plains areas to the east and the mountain zones to west.
