Lake Agnes Cabin

The 1925 cabin is a good local example of Rustic style architecture, a form characterized by its natural setting and its use of native materials, often log and stone.

Designed to blend in with the natural environment, these buildings usually served as vacation homes, hunting lodges, dude ranches, or tourist-related facilities in national and state parks.  The Lake Agnes Cabin reflects the design characteristics with its log walls, rubble foundation, simple form, and gently pitched roof.
