Constructed in 1926-27, with additions in 1935 and 1956, the simple one-story wood frame building is associated with the farmers’ organization popularly known as the Grange Movement.

A family oriented organization that attempted to meet the social, political, and economic interests of its members, its grange halls often became the focus of rural communities.  Over the years, a variety of local organizations held dances, suppers, and school fundraisers in the building.
