Everhardt Ranch / Herzman Ranch
Jefferson County
The Everhardt Ranch is one of the most significant historic properties in the Evergreen area. The original homesteader, Johnny Everhardt, was the first white settler.
Circa 1890, after a crippling accident, the property was sold to the Herzman family who cared for Everhardt until his death. The most prominent buildings remaining on the property are a circa 1885 1½ -story log residence and a circa 1870 log barn.
