Evergreen Cemetery

As the oldest operating cemetery in Colorado Springs, Evergreen is significant for its association with the social history of the area during the city’s early development.
Established in 1871, the 220 acre site was donated in part by the founder of Colorado Springs, General William Jackson Palmer who is interred there.
