Columbia Cemetery

Boulder County

Founded in 1870 by Columbia Masonic Lodge No. 14, it is Boulder’s oldest cemetery.  The more than 3,000 grave markers represent a variety of styles, materials and degrees of craftsmanship that in many cases reflect the socioeconomic status of those commemorated.

Since 1965, the cemetery has been owned by the City of Boulder, and it is administered as a part of the Parks and Recreation Department.

Many of the stone markers have been repaired with the assistance of SHF funded grants.
