Cole Neighborhood Historic District

Denver County

The district contains an important collection of one and one-and-one-half story brick bungalows dating from the 1910s and early 1920s.  The bungalow achieved a high degree of popularity as a type of single family housing in the first three decades of the 20th century.

Bungalows most often exhibit the Craftsman style, but some utilize the Mediterranean or Mission Revival styles.  The district also contains several excellent examples of early 20th century, detached automobile garages.
