Hinsdale County Courthouse
Hinsdale County
With more than 90 contributing structures, the Lake City Historic District is one of the largest historic districts in the nation. The district includes the 1877 Hinsdale County Courthouse, which is Colorado's oldest courthouse still used for its original purpose.
Remarkably, original furnishings have been retained and still remain in use. The courthouse has received prior SHF grants for stabilization and rehabilitation, and with this grant, the courthouse roof, windows, siding, and trim will be rehabilitated.
