The Corpus A. Gallegos Ranches in San Luis is one of our oldest Centennial Farms. It was first settled in about 1860 by Dario Gallegos. Although Dario Gallegos's original ranch has been divided up over the years through inheritance by several generations of family members, Corpus A. Gallegos Ranch today still includes over 1300 acres. It is currently operated by Dario's great-great grandson Corpus A. Gallegos and his family, where they raise cattle, sheep and oats. A number of fine historic structures remain on the property.
