Join us at the Ute Indian Museum Hands-On History Camp! Hands-On History provides safe, engaging learning opportunities for elementary & middle school children (grades 1st through 5th).

Who: 1st - 6th graders

When: June 10th - July 26th *no camp July 1st - 5th*, 8:00 am- 4:00 pm

Where: Ute Indian Museum, 17253 Chipeta Rd. Montrose, CO 81403

Cost:  $250/week per student with automatic tuition assistance available:

June 10th - 14th - National Parks week - “Natural Wonders camp”

Discover a journey through the wonders of our nation's most iconic landscapes with our National Parks-themed camp. Join us as we hike through stunning landscapes, spot wildlife, and connect with the beauty of nature, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

June 17th - 21st - Arts and Crafts week - “Crafty Creators week”

Unleash your inner artist and get ready for a world of creativity! From Painting to Weaving, children will utilize historic practices and techniques to create and express themselves through art.

June 24th - 28th - “Chill and Fulfill: Self Care week” 

Join us as campers learn the importance of self-care through wellness techniques and practices passed down by previous generations. Through mindfulness activities, healthy habits, and positive affirmations, they'll discover the power of self-love and resilience, empowering them to navigate life with confidence and compassion.

July 8th - 12th - Water Week - “Wacky Water Week”

Dive into a week of aquatic excitement during Wacky Water Week! From thrilling water games to educational adventures, campers will make a splash while learning valuable water safety skills and developing a deeper appreciation for the wonders of the aquatic world.

July 15th - 19th - Jr. Arch week - “Digging for History”

Step into the footsteps of our ancestors as we become Jr Archaeologists. Through hands-on digs, artifact discoveries, and historical adventures, young adventurers will unearth the mysteries of the past while fostering a deep appreciation for history and culture.

July 22nd - 26th - “Our Wonderful World”

During Our Wonderful World camp, students will embark on an exciting journey to discover the wonders of the great outdoors. Through immersive experiences in nature, interactive learning, and environmental exploration, they will cultivate a profound connection with the world around them, inspiring a lifelong passion for conservation and stewardship.
